The bikini weather has arrived and as each year turns out I am not ready for it just yet. My mind is… but my body well… not so much. However, I have a new regime which will lead to a killer body asap I hope. It’s called moderation. Moderation and loads of sports… the lethal combination of yoga, tennis, running and fitness (I’m planning a busy summer).
Well, for motivation here’s how I would like to look by… euh… asap.

Saturday's Catch
The sun is here, and it's here to stay for the weekend (hopefully just a bit longer but ok).
So hurry to the nearest beach, pool, garden or park you can find and get ready for some serious relaxing. As all things… relaxing is done in style. Might I suggest Italian style this weekend? This Missoni Bikini is all you need. Now where’s that poolboy with the cocktails!

Summer 2012 To Do List
I am a list person, I make lists of everything, I even have a notebook in which I organize my lists. One day I think I might just make a list of all my lists (genious idea coming to think of it…).
But anyway, onto the most recent list: My Summer 2012 To Do list.
Summers have the tendency to be over before you even realize they have begun. This year I don’t want to miss out on anything. That will be impossible so I need to prioritize… hence THE list.
1. Go to an Arsenal concert (tickets are booked, so basically I could scratch that one off the list but I’d rather keep it on there so I feel like I’ve already accomplished a bunch...)
2. Finish up the big stash of rosé wine from a visit to a winery last year
3. Throw a terrace party to get the rosé wine finished
4. Invite awesome people to that party
5. Decorate everything in ‘rosé’ for the party (ok, sorry, I’m getting into too much detail)
6. Try to find a house (this is a tricky one, as these things cannot be forced, summer 2012 might be extended to October to check off this one)
7. Decorate house (really it’s a matter of details…in my head the house is fully decorated: loads of pastels, rugged carpets, art & white, so that one should be easy)
8. Visit the champagne region in France (so we can get a new stash of booze after the rosé party)
9. Find a groupon deal for visiting the champagne region in France in utter style at a ridiculously low price.
10. Makes me think about another one: finish up those groupon vouchers I still have lying around
11. Find the perfect bridesmaid dress, in pastel preferably...what else?
12. Make my legs look fabulous with new fitness regime (regime yet to be determined)
13. Pick up on my tennis classes where I left them (at age 14)
14. Buy an irresistible pleated Lacoste tennis skirt. The one I had (at age 14) doesn’t fit anymore which is a bummer cause I’m sure it could qualify as vintage now.
15. Update my Ipod playlist
16. Determine my ideal haircut and find a hairdresser who can accomplish it
17. Read the entire Hunger Games trilogy (2 more to go)
18. Start everyday by drinking a glass of water with lemon and a sun salutation (so not going to happen, but ok)
19. Attend 2nd edition of Ladies Bar Hopping night (no comment)
20. Make photo-albums of a variety of things including my wedding (which took place like ages ago, yet no sign of an album) & last year’s trips. I’m thinking the rosé party & bar hopping will deserve an album as well but that’s something for the ‘Summer 2013 To Do List’ ...

Rocking those pastels
You might have already noticed that I am very much in favor of the current pastel hype. Feminine and sweet, just my cup of tea. Now, there’s a bit of a danger in pastels as you might end up looking like:
a) A stepford wife from the sixties
b) A modern desperate housewife
c) A fashion addict (might not be a bad thing though)
d) A tart (very bad thing)
To avoid all of the above you could easily rock your pastels up with a touch of fluo yellow.
Here are some examples on how to add some extra flavor to the pastel candy colors rocking our summer.

Tying the knot
I have a new obsession (yet again, I know): knots. And concerning knots, I have a new motto: the bigger the better… Since my hair is not the thick, long kind, I like giving nature a little hand by adding a nude sponge into my knot.
And what’s even better... this hairdo works best on unwashed hair (Don’t get me wrong, wash your hair every once in a while, but if you haven’t washed it for a day, this hairdo is possible, afterwards, please do wash it.) .
So basically, this is your ideal hair solution when you don't have time for washing & brushing but do feel like looking fabulous. Happens to me a couple of times a week...
Now here’s the how to:
Step 1:
Make a ponytail
Step 2:
Put the sponge around it
Step 3:
Move the sponge to the back end of your ponytail
Step 4:
Wrap your hair around the sponge and fold towards your head
Step 5:
Step 6:
Simply look fabulous

Summer Inspiration
Really don’t want to keep on nagging about the weather but I’m just in the mood for something a dash more summery...
I am very much looking forward to the possibility of dipping my toes in salty seawater, the prospect of sipping a cocktail, the likelihood of giving those white legs a touch of colour and off course to finally dust off those summer clothes.
Just some inspiration on how I think the rest of this summer should look like. Who's in?

Winter 2012 goodies
People working in the fashion business are always just ooone step ahead. While we are still trying to get rid of our winter 2011 clothes (if only the weather would be so kind to let us move forward…) fashionista’s are already getting ready for winter 2012. I went to spot some must-buys for next season. It’s all a matter of planning your budgets well in advance, isn’t it? So, here’s some spanking new stuff.
On a side note, I think summer 2012 is about ready for launch now? You weather gods have had enough time preparing…
