Happy Moments TOP 10

1. Looking at my hubbie and realising why I fell in love again: it’s that great toothpaste smile! The advantages of a dentist father in law.

2. Drinks and dinner with friends, on a terrace, in the evening sun. Add some suuuushi and wine and there it is: the perfect evenening.

3. Sunday night family dinners: crowded and the one who speaks the loudest will be heard.

4. Finding that perfect dress … during sales…50% off…or… even better 70% off…

5. Putting on the radio and finding out my favourite song is playing: so not a coincidence!

6. Checking stylemepretty.com: weddings make me happy, what can I say.

7. Smelling my favourite perfume, Musk from Les Ecuadors, for 8 years steady now.

8. Reading my horoscope and finding out a great week is ahead of me. (Unless the horoscope says terrible things will happen, in that case, I don't believe in horoscopes for a week)

9. Freshly pressed juice (preferably somebody else presses and I just enjoy the drink)

10. The smell of fresh sheet

Bargainista style

This Sunday I decided to pay a visit to Primark Rotterdam. Quickly, it became clear to me: I was not the only one with that luminescent plan.
No, the entire population of Rotterdam was there as well…But I was determined to get my ‘fashion fix’ and would not be stopped by this inconvenient detail. 2 Hours later (I am not even kidding, nor exaggerating) I was back on my way to Antwerp: totally stressed out (Primark is a warzone that’s clear) but very pleased with my Belgian Bargainista status. *

So please give a warm welcome to these new items in my wardrobe.

* Just so you know : bargainista = bargain + fashionista = me!

La Douce France

Next week I have planned a week in La Douce France… The exact plan is: doing absolutely nothing useful but enhancing my tan to the max and trying to keep up with the French style.

The latter does require an effort. They may seem ‘nonchalant’ & full of ‘je ne sais quoi’… those French ladies do know what they’re doing stylewise.
As preparation is key, I developed a little mood board. All items with dots and stripes will definitely be joining me on my trip.

Summer MAKE up

In between clothes shopping one could almost forget another essential item to having a great look: make up

Do NOT underestimate the power of a touch of gloss or a glance of bronzing powder. I can make or break your look.

And we should obviously aim for make, sort of explains the name: make up.

What's missing in my closet

After cleaning: I made a list...euh it's quite long.

So I am now officially in search of:

yellow shoes
great jeans to wear with flat shoes
maxi dress
cognac ballerina's
cool cropped cognac/beige/old pink pants
old pink shoes
black sandals
flat sandals
black beach dress
bikini
beach dress

Going trough this list I start wondering: Am I a shoe addict?
ah well, I can live with that addiction.

I will make sure to show you what I actually found soon but I just couldn't resist already making a little mood board.
You'll notice that several items on the board are not on my list. Well, isn't that just always the case? You go searching for a jeans and come back with a dress. You search shoes, you find the perfect dress. Hey, that's life.
