Farewell Fatigue

It’s February, almost March. This means about 90% off us are tired on a permanent basis, spring seems like an unreachable utopia and our January resolutions are long forgotten. Time to get your lazy ass (excusez-moi le mot) off the coach and revive thanks to these 5 farewell fatigue tips.

1. Get up and boogie. Your days as a couch potato are now officially over. Search for ways to integrate sports into your everyday life. Might I suggest waking up with some up-beat tunes and then dancing full out for 5 minutes? Your day will start fresh and happy.

2. Eat healthy. Eating healthy will not only do wonders for your weight, you’ll feel so much better too. Choose for nuts, loads of veggies and fruit, fresh fish and wholegrain pasta, bread or rice. For lunch: a salad with smoked salmon, avocado, pine nuts and olive oil. Goooood…

3. Plan fun stuff! Nothing makes you wake up more energized than the idea that something great will happen to you that day. So book a massage, plan a restaurant visit with a dear friend, go out dancing… Let fun rule your days.

4. Not exactly brain wrecking, but oh so true, if you’re tired: sleep! Make your bedroom the ultimate hide-away with elegant cushions, a soft (or hard if you’re into that stuff) mattress and a cosy duvet.

5. Ban dark thoughts. If you’re getting up and the first thought that comes to your mind is: I am soooo tired. Well, don’t be surprised if you are actually tired all day. Choose to wake up energized and happy. It’s this little, tiny thing called self-fulfilling prophecy, live by it!
