The holiday parties are over, you’ve gained some kilos while enjoying them, your fridge is empty and so is your wallet. No doubt about is, it’s January… So really, this is the time to take a moment to sit down & write down your new year’s resolution.
No inspiration? Feel free to copy mine, just don’t come complaining end December that they haven’t all worked out well. This year, I’m aiming high. Yes, 2013 is the new 2012.
1. Run the Antwerp 10 miles. Now, just running the 10 miles, that I’ve done before. It’s very 2011. This year, let’s do it in 1h35.
2. De-clutter, for every new item purchased another one has to go. Life is though.
3. Get a proper designer handbag. Get rid of worn out handbags. See how I am already living up to resolution 2?
4. Follow painting classes. Not for painting walls, but for painting like…art.
5. Try out loads of new cooking recipes.
6. Read at least 12 books. And no, Vogue does not count. Neither does 50 shades of grey for that matter.
7. Buy new socks and try to keep them in pairs. This, for sure, is the most ambitious resolution of all.
8. Find a hairdresser that can tame my hair.
9. Visit Bali.
10. Try not to fool myself. I hardly ever have only 1 glass of wine on an evening out, that one jeans will probably never fit again and I will almost always have a second serving of a delicious dish. Might as well make peace with this reality.
