Forever 21 in Antwerp and that's a good thing

This week Forever21 opened a shop in Antwerp. Allow me to rephrase that : shop is a underestimation, it’s more of a shopping center really. The place is huge, massive, big, large…let’s just say you need to have the energy of a 21year old to go through the entire shop. My days of 21 are long gone, but luckily my energy level gets boosted in retail environments.

So off I went… especially the jewelry section lurked me: a lot of chunky necklaces, bold bracelets and colorful hair accessories at prices you just can’t resist.

Hooked on Peter Pan Collars

Seen on the runway, on the streets, on Alexa Chung and euh in my closet: the Peter Pan collar.

You might not have worn this particular collar since the age of 6 but it’s time to
(re-) introduce it into your wardrobe.

I’m guessing Solange Knowles & Rachel Bilson might have the same stylist.
As you can see, this particular stylist is currently obsessed with printed tops paired with colored pants, completed by leopard shoes.

This look might seem easy to recreate (I am deliberately not using the word copy, we never copy, we recreate) but do not be fooled...

Ideal event to spot some stylish folks so that's exactly what I did. Unfortunatly there was too little time to actually shop: great excuse to go back soon...

Antwerp in vogue / In Vogue magazine that is

The September issue of Vogue features a tremendous fashion shoot inspired by the Flemish masters. The décor: the streets of the old city of Antwerp. To completely spoil us Vogue shares some of Dries Van Noten's favourite addresses.

People from Antwerp are known to be chauvinists, I am not even attempting to deny it, but I am taking this opportunity to applaud Antwerp. It's not every month we are featured in Vogue, right?

So what are Dries Van Noten's favourite addresses? I'll tell you some, but not all, wouldn’t want to be sued by Vogue for plagiary now would we...

So a quick overview:

Snakes in the jungle of AW 2011

Last year leopard prints were all over the place, this season snake prints mark their territory in the fashion jungle. The trend is implemented in about every piece of clothing you could imagine: dresses, blouses, shoes, purses...
